10 millionth two-wheeler
Hero MotoCorp recently met the target of selling 100 million two-wheelers. In an event on this occasion, Chairman of the company Pawan Munjal also talked about the future of the company. He said that the transport system is going to change in the coming times. In such a situation, the company is serious about becoming the vehicle company of the future.
Goal to go beyond two-wheeler In the
same program, Pawan Munjal said, “Of the 10 crore vehicles ahead in the company, there will not be only scooters or three-wheelers.” He hinted at making cars in the company’s future. He said that the company will increase its investment on research and development as well as emphasize on partnership.
Investment in Ather Energy
Hero MotoCorp has increased its investment in Bangalore-based startup company Ather Energy in the last few years. Ather Energy manufactures electric two-wheelers. Hero MotoCorp has acquired about 35 percent stake in Ather Energy. However, Hero Motacorp’s own electric vehicle is expected to hit the market in 2021-22.
